Synopsis
Crazy Samurai Musashi (2020) is a Japanese action film you can watch online on iFILM. The year is 1604. Swordsman Miyamoto Musashi has cut down two masters of the Yoshioka clan in single combat, so the disgraced family musters an army to erase the shame — one hundred relatives plus three hundred hired samurai. Four hundred blades against one man.
The film's whole reason to exist is its centrepiece: a roughly 77-minute battle captured in one unbroken take. The camera never cuts away from Musashi as he hacks through the crowd, and the exhaustion, the mud and the ragged breathing are all real. Stuntman and martial artist Tak Sakaguchi plays the lead, with action veteran Yuji Shimomura directing the carnage.
