Synopsis
White Man's Burden (1995) is a social drama you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by Desmond Nakano. The premise is a deliberate inversion: in this America, Black citizens are the privileged class, and white workers live in inner-city poverty. Louis Pinnock (John Travolta) has a factory job, a family, and no illusions about where he ranks.
One delivery run to the estate of executive Thaddeus Thomas (Harry Belafonte) goes sideways. Louis is fired, his family evicted, the police complaint ignored. He picks up a gun and takes Thomas hostage — not for money, but to make someone listen.
