The Last King

Civil war has split Norway for decades. The birkebeiners — the crown's loyal soldiers — are fighting the baglers, backed by the Church and the nobility. When an infant is declared heir to the throne, a death warrant follows. Two warriors are given one task: carry the baby across frozen mountain passes in a blizzard, with armed pursuers closing in behind them.
