Synopsis
Blood Vessel (2020) is a wartime horror you can watch online on iFILM. It's 1945, somewhere in the North Atlantic. A handful of survivors from a torpedoed hospital ship drift on a lifeboat with no food, no water and no land in sight — until a silent German minesweeper glides out of the fog like a gift.
Nobody alive is aboard. The ragtag group — British, Australian, American and Russian sailors thrown together — climbs the deck and finds the German crew torn apart. Below, a young Romanian girl turns out to be the only one left breathing. She leads them toward a sealed room, and what's behind that door explains exactly how everyone up top died.
Director Justin Dix, a longtime effects artist, leans hard on practical gore and the cramped iron corridors of the ship, letting the claustrophobia carry as much weight as the creature.
