Thalasso

Thalasso (2019) — watch online on iFILM — is a French comedy-drama directed by Guillaume Nicloux. The premise almost invents itself: provocateur novelist Michel Houellebecq and actor Gérard Depardieu both check in to a sea-water therapy centre in Cabourg, Normandy, and both immediately resist every instruction the staff hands them.

They play themselves. That means the film is largely the spectacle of two supremely difficult French personalities stuck in a very calming place, prodding and bewildering each other through 93 minutes of reluctant health cures. Stream Thalasso on iFILM.
