The Witness

The Witness (我是证人, 2015) is a Chinese-South Korean crime thriller directed by Ahn Sang-hoon, available to watch online on iFILM. Yang Mi and Lu Han star in this remake of the Korean film Always.

A blind university student is in a cab when she hears a collision — a hit-and-run, she tells the police. A delivery driver who was at the scene at the same moment gives an account that contradicts hers on every key detail. One of them is lying. The film uses her blindness to sustain real ambiguity: what she hears and what the camera shows the audience are not always the same.
