Synopsis
Blind (블라인드, 2011) is a South Korean thriller you can watch online on iFILM. A university student vanishes, and days later a car runs her down and speeds off — leading detectives to suspect the kidnapper and the hit-and-run driver are the same man.
Their only lead is two witnesses who flatly contradict each other. One is Gi-sub, a teenage runaway. The other is Soo-ah, a former police academy cadet who lost her sight in the crash that killed her family. She saw nothing. But her hearing, her sense of touch and her trained memory for detail read a scene better than any camera, and it's her account that pushes the case forward. The trouble is the killer now knows it too — the blind woman has gotten too close.
Director Ahn Sang-hoon builds the suspense on one cruel inversion: hunter and hunted swap roles in the dark, where the sighted man is the one at a disadvantage. Kim Ha-neul carries the film almost single-handedly as Soo-ah, and the back half barely lets you breathe. If you like Korean thrillers driven by a tough heroine and earned tension over cheap jump scares, this one delivers. Stream Blind (2011) online on iFILM.
