Synopsis

Criminal Intelligence Inspector Don Lee (Nick Cheung) has been burning informants for years — operations blow up, people die, the guilt accumulates. His superior wants another one planted inside a gang plotting a jewelry heist, run by a vicious criminal known as Barbarian. Don recruits Ghost (Nicholas Tse), an ex-convict who needs money to clear a debt and protect his sister. Ghost earns Barbarian's trust through his driving skills, starts feeding intel to Don, and starts sleeping with Barbarian's girlfriend — three simultaneous ways of getting killed. Guey Lun-Mei plays Dee, caught in the middle. Dante Lam pushes every scene to its breaking point; the film doesn't soften what this kind of double life actually costs.
