Golem

Golem (1980) is a Polish sci-fi detective you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Piotr Szulkin. Pernat, an engraver, wakes up inside a police interrogation — accused of murdering a neighbour he cannot remember.

From there, the walls close in. A double appears in the grey corridors. Mad scientists, shady collectors, a raving dentist. Each encounter strips away another layer of Pernat's identity, until the terrifying thought takes hold: maybe he was never a man at all — only a golem, a hollow imitation built to serve.
