Synopsis
"Joyride" (2022) is an Irish-British comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Emer Reynolds. Twelve-year-old Mully's father drank away the money the community raised for his mother's funeral. He grabs the cash, steals a taxi, and finds Joy — an uptight solicitor with a newborn she's planning to hand off — sitting in the back seat.
Joy (Olivia Colman) had no intention of going on a road trip. But a chase across Ireland — stolen cars, ferries, roadblocks, the whole mess — doesn't give them much choice. Colman plays against Charlie Reid's Mully with the kind of dry, unforced warmth that makes prickly characters easy to root for.
