Sasha Yermolenko lost both parents in a car accident as a teenager. Her relatives from the village took her in — they wanted the inheritance, not the child. She did the housework, endured the aunt's moods, and held onto one goal: art college. That goal slipped away. Her guardians found her a husband instead — ship captain Leonid Verkhovtsev, a stranger.
