Synopsis
The Romance of Tiger and Rose (2020) is a Chinese romantic comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Screenwriter Chen Xiaoqian falls asleep at her desk and wakes up inside the drama she was writing — as the Third Princess of Dongliang, a matriarchal kingdom where women hold every position of power.
Her own script has the character caught between a dutiful engagement to the noble Pei Heng and a dangerous attraction to Prince Han Shuo of a rival state — the same prince she wrote as the villain. Chen knows the plot beats that are coming. The problem is surviving them while trying to rewrite the ending from the inside. Zhao Lusi and Ding Yuxi lead the cast with relaxed comic timing that keeps the premise from tipping into farce.
