Synopsis
"Crossing Swords" (2020) is an adult animated comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Patrick is a well-meaning peasant who finally gets his shot as a royal squire — and discovers the castle is a hornet's nest of depraved monarchs, charlatans, and assorted crooks.
His own family makes it worse. His brothers are committed criminals who treat his new position as their latest angle. The voice cast is genuinely surprising: Nicholas Hoult, Alfred Molina, Natasha Lyonne, Luke Evans, Ben Schwartz, Tony Hale, and Seth Green. The whole series is shot in cheerful peg-doll animation, which does most of the comedic work — the gap between what the characters look like and what they actually get up to is the joke, and it lands consistently.
