Synopsis
A Colt Is My Passport (拳銃は俺のパスポート, 1967) — watch online on iFILM. Director Takashi Nomura's crime film from Nikkatsu studio, starring Jo Shishido as Kamimura, a hitman with a clean method and a quiet manner.
The job is simple: kill a rival gang boss who got too greedy. Kamimura does it. Then things unravel — the client turns unpredictable, the money isn't coming, and the people who hired him become the problem. He has to choose between what he's owed and getting out alive. Shishido plays Kamimura on a single flat register that reads not as blankness but as control: a man who makes decisions without noise. Nikkatsu's action films of the 1960s produced dozens of titles in this vein; few of them are as economical or as cold as this one.
