Synopsis
Lost in Siberia (Ausgerechnet Sibirien, 2012) is a German-Russian comedy directed by Ralf Huettner — watch it online on iFILM. Matthias Bleuel (Joachim Król) is a logistics manager from Leverkusen who gets through post-divorce life on routine and spreadsheets — until his boss sends him to a small company branch deep in Kemerovo, western Siberia.
He arrives with pepper spray and hand sanitiser, expecting cold, disorder, and danger. None of those materialize on schedule. Instead, there is Artyom the interpreter, whose relationship with urgency is philosophical; a local team that runs on its own unwritten logic; and the slow dawning realization that German efficiency manuals don't translate well into Siberian.
