Tenement

Tenement (2024) is a Cambodian horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Grieving her mother, manga artist Soriya returns to Phnom Penh to reconnect with relatives she barely knows and gather material for her next book.

The welcome is warm at first. Her mother's side of the family takes her in, and she rents a flat in Metta, a crumbling apartment block dating back to the Khmer Rouge years. Then the daylight hours start to fracture. Bloody visions cut through ordinary afternoons, as if Soriya were a channel the past is using to bleed into the present — and the building seems to remember things the living would rather forget.

Co-directed by Sokyou Chea and Inrasothythep Neth, the film roots its scares in a real national wound: the memory of a regime that killed millions. It runs a tight 88 minutes and works less through jump scares than through the creeping sense that the walls themselves are wrong.
