Synopsis

Rayhan apa, now 75, has always told her son that God loves him in a special way and that a place in Paradise is already waiting for him. The catch is that Adil refuses to go without her. A neighbor's boy hands him an idea as simple as a nursery rhyme: walk your mother on foot to holy Mecca, and she will reach Paradise too. So Adil packs up and starts walking.
Director Ruslan Akun shapes it into a road-movie parable about faith taken literally and love that needs no clever words. A hundred and thirty-eight quiet minutes where the hero's innocence lands harder than any melodrama could. Emil Esenaliev carries the lead.
