Basic Bitch (2020) is a Norwegian comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Four friends — Anine, Ingrid, Madlen and Julie — had every reason to move to Oslo, build careers and do what the culture tells you to do. They stayed in Tønsberg. No regrets.

They get coffee at the same spots, talk about the same people, complain about the same minor irritations. The show doesn't frame this as a failure. It asks — pretty pointedly — who decided that chasing ambition somewhere else is the only valid shape a life can take. Karin Klouman, Kristine Grændsen, Ada Eide and Emilie Skolmen keep the tone dry without it becoming toothless.
