Lesson in Democracy (Urok Demokratii, 2021) is a Russian comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Tenth-grader Vera declares a school election war after the new principal fires her mother, a gifted chemistry teacher.

The reason for the dismissal is almost a punchline: her mother taught by her own method, one the education ministry never signed off on. Vera learns that whoever wins the post of school president can take their case straight to the city mayor, and she decides that's her shot at justice. The campaign turns scrappy fast — big promises, shaky alliances, and rivals who don't mind playing dirty, with only two friends in her corner. It's a breezy teen story about a kid tasting politics, and her own stubbornness, for the first time, fond of its heroine rather than preachy. Maria Morozova leads the cast.
