Synopsis
Duran (2022) is a Turkish drama series you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Yunus Ozan Korkut.
Three young men from the same run-down suburban neighbourhood, three routes out. Duran trains obsessively at the local gym, betting his future on winning the Muay Thai tournament and the money that comes with it. Celal is working on a rap track he's certain will break through; the world around him disagrees, loudly. Mustafa takes the fastest exit and ends up running errands for the neighbourhood's most dangerous boss. Gym owner Hakki — a former boxing champion buried in debt to that same boss — is riding the tournament as his only way clear.
Into all this arrives Hakki's granddaughter Asli from Germany, carrying a stolen diamond she promptly loses in a car accident. Oktay Çubuk plays Duran with a restrained hunger that keeps the show grounded even when the plot multiplies. Stream Duran (2022) online on iFILM.
