"The Lake" (2022) is a Canadian comedy-drama series — stream it online on iFILM. Justin has just ended a long-term relationship abroad and returned home with one goal: reconnect with the teenage daughter he gave up for adoption years ago. It does not go smoothly.

His parents left the family lake cottage to his stepsister Maisy-May — relentlessly cheerful, husband and kids in tow, the sort of person who makes everything look effortless. Justin ends up next door with nothing, trying to earn a daughter who didn't ask for this reunion while fighting his stepsister for a property he thinks should have been his.
