TV-MASynopsis
Clipped (2024) is a drama series about a real NBA scandal you can watch online on iFILM. Ed O'Neill plays Donald Sterling, the Los Angeles Clippers owner whose run ended over a single recording. Racist remarks caught on tape spread across the planet within a day.
The story sits at the collision of a falling-apart franchise and an even more dysfunctional marriage. While coach Doc Rivers (Laurence Fishburne) drags the roster toward the playoffs, Sterling's wife Shelly and his young assistant V. Stiviano fight a war of their own. The show is pieced together from court records and reporting rather than the team's press line, so the back rooms reveal far more than the news ever did.
Created for screen by Kevin Bray and Francesca Gregorini and rooted in ESPN's "30 for 30" podcast, it's a hard, uncomfortable look at money, power and racism in pro sports — the TV-MA rating isn't decorative. One for viewers who like dramas built on notorious true cases. Stream Clipped online on iFILM.
