What Should a Woman Do If... (2022) is a Russian dramedy you can watch online on iFILM, about a woman used to scheduling her life like a court case. Anna is a high-flying lawyer, and she tells her old friend Larisa point blank: she wants a "husband for three months."

The reasoning is airtight. A brutal work project is coming, so she needs a release valve and steady sex with no strings and no drama. Two finalists make it through her private selection — a young technocrat who lives by rules, and an older businessman who lives for pleasure. Both are appealing, both are smitten. Then the plan collapses: Anna learns she's about to become a grandmother. Her layabout son comes back from England with a Pakistani wife, and suddenly she isn't picking a seasonal lover but a grandfather for her future granddaughter. Yelena Lyadova, Gosha Kutsenko and Agrippina Steklova lead the cast.

Director Alexey Kuzmin-Tarasov keeps the tone balanced between comedy and a frank look at a woman past forty who answers to no one. Lyadova carries the whole mess with her trademark dry smirk.
