Three bodies turn up in the lift of an ordinary building: successful businessman Alexander Serebryakov and an elderly couple, the Zavyalovs. Investigators are quick to call it a contract hit, and detective Alexey Leonidov is handed the job of proving it. He works through Serebryakov's circle — who he crossed, who had reason to want him dead — but every suspect's alibi holds, and the real answer only surfaces in the closing stretch. Maxim Evseev, Irina Goryacheva and Natalya Rychkova head the cast.
