Mockumentary (Mokyumentari, 2022) is a Russian faux-documentary comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Yulia Zaitseva has been chasing world fame since she was a kid, yet the only roles she's offered are in cheap, throwaway soap operas.
She is genuinely convinced her gift deserves an Oscar, and somehow the big-name directors never notice. The blame, of course, falls not on the talent but on Misha, her hapless agent of many years, still hunting for the part that will finally make her name. The camera trails this self-delusion up close, treating it like the true subject of a documentary. Yulia Volkova, Mikhail Troynik and Lyudmila Chursina star.
