Synopsis
KKN: Curse of the Dancing Village (KKN di Desa Penari, 2022) is an Indonesian horror film directed by Awi Suryadi that you can watch online on iFILM. Based on a viral Twitter thread by @SimpleMan, it follows six university students who travel to an isolated Javanese village to complete a mandatory community-service program.
They are warned on arrival: do not cross the gates. What waits on the other side is tied to the legend of a dancer who died there under dark circumstances. One of them crosses the line. From that point the village stops being a remote fieldwork posting and becomes something the students cannot walk away from. Tissa Biani Azzahra and Adinda Thomas carry the emotional weight of the film.
