Synopsis
Do Svidaniya, Malchiki (Goodbye, Boys, 2014) is a Russian wartime drama by Sergei Krutin that you can watch online on iFILM. The story opens in the quiet final weeks before the front, the summer of 1941. Sasha Voronov, raised in an orphanage, arrives in a town near Moscow to enroll at an artillery school — and finds something he has never had: real friends.
Nadya, Gena and Kolya become his circle, and the four even manage to expose a German agent. Then the fighting reaches them. The would-be students pull on cadet uniforms, and by early October the enemy is pushing toward Moscow with almost nothing in the way. The whole school is called to arms — teenagers and their instructors sent to hold the line and buy a few days for the reserves with their own lives. The cast includes Vladimir Vdovichenkov, Ekaterina Volkova and Anatoly Kot.
