Synopsis
Where Wormwood Blooms (2023) is a Russian mystery thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Ulyana, a tenth-grader, has a curse she never asked for: she sees the deaths of people close to her before they happen. Then she crosses paths with a witch called Ruta, and the visions become the least of her problems.
Ruta offers a bargain. Bring her belongings taken from three dead people, and Ulyana's mother stays alive while the death-visions stop. The girl takes the deal — and learns she's just one piece on the board. Other "servants" orbit the witch, and a few have clawed their way free. From them Ulyana pieces together the only exit from the game: beat Ruta herself.
Directed by Kirill Kuzin, the series stars Viktoria Agalakova, Rinal Mukhametov, Artyom Tkachenko and Sabina Akhmedova. It's folk-horror dressed as a high-school drama, with stakes far darker than the classroom — a good pick if you like teen mysteries that don't flinch.
