Kesha Must Die (Season 1)

Kesha Must Die (Кеша должен умереть, 2023) is a pitch-black Russian comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Innokenty Melnikov — Kesha to everyone — is a successful architect, all charm and confidence, with two divorces already behind him.

The catch is that the divorces changed nothing. Kesha is still the central man in the lives of his ex-wives Lena and Julia, and on top of that he is married to a third woman, Varya. Somehow he keeps being the wallet, the host of every family dinner, and the lover for all of them at once. The cozy arrangement starts to crack when Kesha takes a new mistress, Alla, and decides to dump Varya. Stung by the betrayal, the three women — half joking, half serious — begin plotting to be rid of the man they all share.

Konstantin Bogomolov directs and stars in the title role, shaping the show into a venomous study of possession, jealousy and male ego, where the laughs turn cold fast. Yulia Aleksandrova, Aleksandra Rebenok and Yulia Snigir round out the cast. It lands for viewers who enjoy mean wit and characters with not one redeeming trait yet plenty of pulse.
