Synopsis
Rise of the Raven (2025), originally titled Hunyadi, is a Hungarian historical epic you can watch online on iFILM. It follows János Hunyadi, a commander of humble birth who climbs to the height of power in mid-15th-century Hungary.
The Ottomans are pushing deep into Europe, and his army may be the only thing standing in their way. Yet the real war is fought in whispers too: noble houses from Vienna to Belgrade scheme for advantage, while two women shape Hunyadi's fate. His wife Erzsébet Szilágyi backs him without flinching; his first love, Mara Branković, now consort to Sultan Murad, breaks his heart from the wrong side of the line. It all builds to the clash outside Belgrade that turns the invasion back.
