Synopsis
Chinese Lessons (2024) is a Russian drama-comedy you can watch online on iFILM. After his mother dies, Nikita Simachev (Artyom Tkachenko) moves in with his father — a pharmacologist whose vaccine formula has drawn the wrong kind of attention.
His father secretly hires Meiling (Anna Slu), a member of a powerful Chinese clan, to pose as an exchange student and guard Nikita from a distance. The cover holds for a while, then starts to crack — not from the outside threat, but from Nikita and Meiling working out what they actually mean to each other. Anna Mikhalkova anchors the adult storyline and quietly takes over every scene she's in. Director Ivan Makarevich keeps the spy mechanics in the background and lets the two leads carry the weight.
