Synopsis

England, early 1920s. Sophie is celebrating her eighteenth birthday at the family estate. Four suitors — Admiral von Schneider, Pommeroy, Winterbottom, and Tobi — compete for her hand through witty contests. Then one of them turns up dead. Sophie quietly investigates while keeping the games going. Butler James, played by Kostja Ullmann, stays close, and the two share something that goes well beyond professional duty.
