Synopsis
Dong Yi (동이, 2010) is a South Korean historical drama you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Lee Byeong-hoon for MBC, the series runs sixty episodes set in the court of King Sukjong of the Joseon dynasty.
Dong Yi starts as a water maid. Her path to the king's favour moves through the trust of Queen Inhyeon — earned not through scheming but through a directness rare in the palace world. Han Hyo-joo plays her that way: clear-eyed and steady where other characters manoeuvre. Park Ha-sun's rival figure, Jang Hee Bin, is calculating enough to keep the whole series on edge.
