Synopsis
Rita Season 1 — eight episodes of Danish dramedy from 2012, watch online on iFILM. Rita is a secondary school teacher adored by her students and quietly resented by nearly every adult around her. She says the uncomfortable thing. She deals with the fallout later.
The first season is built as a series of ethical tight spots, one per episode, each named for a role: The Idealist, The Anarchist, The Hypocrite. Rita fights hard for a kid with ADHD and misses her own son being bullied. She finds drugs at school and the trail points straight at Jeppe. A talent show about honesty catches her in a lie she'd been carrying. The episode called The Mother arrives last, and it is the one where everything she has been avoiding lands at once.
