Synopsis
Five seasons in, Rita (2020) is back — Season 5, eight episodes, watch online on iFILM. The school is familiar, the faces are known, but something has quietly shifted between Rita and Rasmus and neither of them is quite sure what to do about it.
The season runs on several threads at once. In the classroom, one student openly denies the Holocaust while another is being used as a pawn in her parents' war. Rita's night-school class brings a harder worry — a student she suspects is being abused at home. Jeppe, meanwhile, finds out that Ole has met someone new and may be planning a proposal. By episode seven, a wave of guilt crashes over Rita that she can't simply push aside. The final episode circles back to the one question underneath all of it: why did she become a teacher in the first place?
