The Road to 'Saturn'

The Road to Saturn (1967) is a Soviet wartime spy film directed by Villen Azarov — watch it online on iFILM. During the Second World War, a group of Soviet intelligence officers receives a near-impossible assignment: penetrate the German spy centre codenamed Saturn, which has been running covert operations against Moscow. Getting inside requires a convincing cover identity and the nerve to hold it under constant pressure, knowing exposure means death.

Starring Mikhail Volkov, Georgy Zhzhenov, Yevgeny Kuznetsov and Arkady Tolbuzin. Azarov builds the tension without gunfights — this is espionage where the most dangerous moments are the quiet ones.
