Synopsis
Investigator Tikhonov (2016) is a Russian detective series set in 1970s Moscow that you can watch online on iFILM. Stanislav Tikhonov, played by Mikhail Yefremov, handles only the cases that stop other investigators cold: a stolen Stradivarius, a missing shipment of an obscure sedative called metaprotizone, the black-market export of Orthodox relics tied to Alexander Nevsky.
Directed by Eduard Oganesyan and Sergei Snezhkin, the series treats each case as a standalone story with its own rhythm — one episode is a straight chase, the next a slow unravelling of bureaucratic corruption. Tikhonov's operations team carries a share of the work, though his personal life is considerably less organised: Moscow women keep falling for him and he cannot pick one. Sergei Shakurov, Victoria Tolstoganova, and Aglaya Tarasova round out the ensemble.
