Shuteye (2027) is a lean Canadian horror film you can watch online now — ninety minutes, one apartment, no crowd of characters to hide behind. A grad student picks sleep paralysis as her research subject. Bad call.

Director Anthony Leroy also acts in the film, opposite Leigha Stiles, and keeps the camera close enough that you never quite trust what's real. The edit blurs dream and waking room on purpose — by the second act you stop trying to tell them apart. It's a small, cheap-looking film that gets more mileage out of sound design than most horror movies get out of a full effects budget.
