Synopsis
The Bridge at Remagen (1969) is a classic American war film you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by John Guillermin, the movie is rooted in the chaotic final weeks of the Western Front — specifically the March 1945 struggle for the last intact crossing over the Rhine, near the German town of Remagen.
Lieutenant Hyman pushes his platoon through rubble and artillery fire toward a single objective: reach the Ludendorff Bridge before the Germans blow it up. On the other side, Major Kreuger has orders to hold the span and destroy it if the Americans get too close. Both men know the war is nearly over. Neither gets to act like it. George Segal plays Hyman, Ben Gazzara is his sergeant, and Robert Vaughn takes the German officer's role.
