Geography Club

Geography Club (2013) is a low-key teen dramedy you can watch online on iFILM. At Goodkind High, a handful of students start an after-school club with the dullest name they can think of — so nobody else will ever ask to join.

The boring title is the whole point: it hides a place where they can stop pretending. Russell has fallen for Kevin, the football team's star, and dreads what the truth would cost him in the locker room. Around them are Min, Therese and blunt, fed-up Belinda, each keeping some version of themselves out of sight. Cameron Deane Stewart and Justin Deeley play two boys who find it easier to kiss in secret than to say a word out loud.

Director Gary Entin adapts Brent Hartinger's novel, an early young-adult book that treated coming out as ordinary rather than tragic. Nikki Blonsky and Scott Bakula turn up in supporting roles.
