Synopsis
Prince Avalanche (2013) is an American comedy-drama directed by David Gordon Green — watch it online on iFILM. It's the summer of 1988, and two men are painting road markings through a scorched Texas forest that almost nobody drives through.
Alvin is the older one, meticulous and retreat-prone, writing earnest letters to a girlfriend back home. Lance is her younger brother, his reluctant co-worker, bored out of his mind and not hiding it. Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch carry the film almost entirely between the two of them, with only a mysteriously cheerful truck driver breaking the silence.
Loosely based on the Icelandic film Either Way, Green shot this low-budget two-hander quickly and it shows in the best way — loose, unhurried, and funnier than it has any right to be given how little happens. Stream Prince Avalanche (2013) on iFILM.
