Synopsis
Set in 1968, Call the Midwife (2012), Season 12 is the BBC drama you can watch online on iFILM — eight episodes against a Poplar split by racial tension after Enoch Powell's notorious speech.
Nonnatus House takes in a newcomer, Sister Veronica, who charms everyone on sight except Nurse Crane. From there the season works through its trials one after another. A gastroenteritis outbreak throws the maternity home into chaos and leaves Crane fighting to keep her career. Shelagh nurses a baby with a life-threatening condition, Nancy carries a secret of her own, and the district's deepening housing crisis surfaces a particularly bleak case. Trixie's wedding to Matthew creeps closer, and the pressure climbs with it.
