Roll Bounce

Roll Bounce (2005) is a family comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. It's the summer of 1978 in Chicago, disco is everywhere, and teenage Xavier and his crew practically live at the local roller rink, where they rule the floor. Then the rink they grew up in shuts its doors.

To keep skating, the boys have to roll over to a glitzy rink across town, where the wealthy regulars look down on them and a slick local champion runs the place. Off the rink, Xavier is wrestling with something heavier — since his mother died, his father has gone quiet, and neither of them knows how to start the conversation. The film stays light on its wheels without feeling weightless.
