About
Synopsis
The Ugly Dachshund (1966) is a Walt Disney live-action comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Norman Tokar. Dean Jones and Suzanne Pleshette play Jim and Fran Garrison, proud owners of three champion dachshund pups — and one Great Dane named Brutus, nursed by the same mother and completely convinced he is a lap dog.
Fran finds Brutus mortifying. Jim sees a potential show-ring champion and quietly draws up a plan to prove it. The whole film runs on a single comic premise and executes it cleanly: there is no funnier creature than a very large animal that has no idea how large it is. A cheerful Disney picture that holds up as a family watch. Stream The Ugly Dachshund (1966) online on iFILM.
