Free Zone

Free Zone (2005) is a drama by Israeli director Amos Gitai you can watch online on iFILM, with Natalie Portman, Hana Laslo and Hiam Abbass. Rebecca, an American who has spent a few months in Jerusalem, has just broken off her engagement. In tears, she climbs into a cab with Hanna, an Israeli woman heading to Jordan's duty-free zone to collect a debt.

The drive across the border puts three women — Israeli, Palestinian, American — in the same car for hours. Gitai, known for Kadosh and Kippur, builds the film out of conversation and silence.
