Synopsis
The Doom Generation (1995) is Gregg Araki's crime road-comedy, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Three teenagers, one stolen car, and a body count that climbs at every gas station and burger joint.
Amy Blue and her boyfriend Jordan White pick up Xavier Red, a drifter who blows a clerk's head off at a quickie mart their first night together. From there the trio runs through a neon-lit America crawling with lunatics, where every roadside stop seems to end in someone's gruesome death and the number 666 keeps turning up. Rose McGowan, James Duval and Johnathon Schaech play the doomed threesome as desire curdles into chaos.
Billed as the middle film of Araki's "Teenage Apocalypse Trilogy," it's deliberately lurid, punk-flavored '90s arthouse that picks fights with good taste on purpose. Strictly for viewers who want their cinema mean and unapologetic. Stream The Doom Generation (1995) online on iFILM.
