Synopsis
The Politician (2019) is a Netflix satirical comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Payton Hobbas has had a single goal since childhood: the White House. Before that, he has to win the student body president race at his Santa Barbara prep school — and he'll do whatever it takes.
Ryan Murphy, the creator behind American Horror Story, turns a high-school election into a full-scale political war. Alliances collapse over a single misstep, running mates get swapped for strategic gain, and everyone around Payton — played by Ben Platt — is either an asset or a liability. Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, and Bette Midler round out a cast that plays every scene with gleeful malice.
