Synopsis
The Princess and the Pilot (とある飛空士への追憶, 2011) is a Japanese animated feature you can watch online on iFILM. Two empires have been at war for years. A mixed-blood mercenary, Charles Karino, is handed a secret job: fly the prince's bride-to-be, Lady Juana del Moral, across enemy skies — alone, in a single-seat floatplane, over thousands of kilometers of open sea.
What should be a quick run stretches into days of dodging storms, fighters and his own past. Charles is an outcast scorned for his birth; Juana is being delivered to a man chosen for her. Cramped together in one cockpit, the two drift toward something neither of them planned. Director Jun Shishido stages it with Ryunosuke Kamiki voicing the pilot.
