Synopsis
The Raffle (La Riffa, 1991) is an Italian drama directed by Francesco Laudadio — watch it online on iFILM, featuring Monica Bellucci in one of her earliest film roles alongside Giulio Scarpati.
Francesca is widowed, left with a young daughter and a stack of debts her husband ran up before he died. She sells what she can. Then she comes up with something more drastic: raffle herself off. The plan is bold, maybe desperate — but before the draw happens, a man enters her life who complicates everything, and the law starts paying attention in ways she did not anticipate.
Bellucci was not yet the international name she would become, but the screen presence is already there and impossible to ignore.
