Synopsis
Royal Tramp 2 (1992) is a Hong Kong action comedy from Wong Jing starring Stephen Chow, and you can watch it online on iFILM. It picks up the misadventures of con man Wai Siu Bo, who bluffed his way into the imperial palace and is now buried neck-deep in court intrigue.
The twist: the reigning Empress is really Lung Erh of the Divine Dragon Sect, who has locked away the true empress. Once Wai Siu Bo learns her secret, he becomes the target she most wants gone — and then things tangle further, as Lung Erh is ordered to guard the Prince, whose servant happens to be Wai Siu Bo himself. Brigitte Lin and Chingmy Yau toss fighting beauties into the chaos.
It runs on Chow's trademark mo lei tau nonsense — absurd gags, wirework kung fu and wuxia parody all at once. Adapted from Louis Cha's classic novel The Deer and the Cauldron, only flipped into pure farce. Great for old-school Hong Kong cinema fans who like their swordplay served with belly laughs.
